“Students Must Act Fast Whilst Education Staff Should Collaborate” Conveyed Rector of UAI in Students English Proficiency Test Briefing for IISMA 2022
In the light of IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards) 2022 registration deadline on April 12, 2022. Office of International Affairs (OIA) of University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Taskforce of UAI held Students English Proficiency Test Briefing for IISMA 2022 on April 1, 2022. The briefing was aimed to prepare UAI students for the upcoming English proficiency test they will take for IISMA 2022. The event began with a prayer led by Muhammad Fadli, S.E., M.H. as the Head of Administrative, Scholarship, Internship, Mobilization and General Affairs Division of UAI.
Afterwards, Mohamad Ghozali Moenawar, Lc., M.M. as the Head of OIA of UAI, gave his remark, wherein he mentioned students of UAI will go through IISMA 2022 with the proper mindset, sufficient training and briefing combined with discipline, that is why UAI held this briefing for UAI students. Then, Dr. Lusi as the Dr. Lusi Lian Piantari, S.S., M.Hum., elucidated the variants and differences of the English proficiency test that can be taken by students, such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS and Duolingo.
Next, Bagus Ramadhan, S. IP as the Staff of International Relations of UAI, conveyed Duolingo English test procedure, profile, questions and shared tips and tricks to ace the test. Subsequently, Rector of UAI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc. imparted his advice for UAI students and education staffs. He underlined the importance of synergy between each relevant directorates of UAI whom handle IISMA 2022 and the significance of students fast response and act when IISMA 2022 registration opened. As this joint effort and combination will bear fruit to UAI students success in selected as IISMA 2022 awardee.
Afterwards, the briefing was concluded with a Q&A session and group picture, Keiko Annissa Arfananda and Ida Ayu Amelia Kusumaningtyas as the IISMA 2021 awardee from UAI was also in attendance, as they shared their experience as an awardee and gave tips and tricks how to get through the IISMA 2022 selection. The briefing was UAI testament to ensured that their students can achieved their objectives and acquired the best learning experience, new culture and skills to further bolstered their chances to realized their career goals and ambition.
